1: New Openings! Our online store "ninjakotan.com"

Today, 15 March (Wednesday), EDO KAGURA Corporation launched our online store, "ninjakotan.com." The online store "ninjakotan.com" offers clothing rental and pre-trip concierge services, mainly for international travelers.

Patagonia

Through our businesses - clothing rental services and concierge services - we want to realize our purpose of existence (Purpose): to create a society where everyone can move freely and make people happy. We also plan to manage our business in line with our three-point mission (management philosophy): 1: to value diversity and bring out creativity; 2: to overturn common sense and solve problems and challenges; and 3: to strive for integrity and conduct business ethically.

2: World's first business

For many people, it is challenging to understand our costs, and some travelers may be concerned about the price of our services. We want to be an ethical company and recognize that transparency in our operations is essential. That's why we have decided to disclose our costs and offer our services at the same price as our costs. To the best of our knowledge, we are the first business in the world to combine a clothing rental service for travelers with a pre-travel concierge service.

For more cost information, please visit our online store "ninjakotan.com."

To celebrate the opening of the online store, we are currently offering a complimentary concierge service to the first 100 email registrants. Please do not miss this opportunity.

3: Sustainable tourism

Our clothing rental service contributes to sustainable tourism. We hope that many people will take advantage of this service.

Climate change action

Our operations help reduce checked baggage carried on board airplanes and dramatically reduce carbon dioxide emissions. Carbon dioxide emissions from planes account for 914 million tonnes (2.0%) of global emissions. Emissions from checked baggage (if all passengers carried 20 kg of checked baggage) are 104.5 mt (0.23%). This emission is larger than the carbon dioxide emissions of 156 countries worldwide, including the Czech Republic (96.3 mt) and Belgium (93 mt). Curb climate change by not carrying checked baggage on your flight without sacrificing the pleasure of traveling.

Furoshiki (Japanese wrapping cloth)

We use traditional Japanese Furoshiki as packing material for rental clothing. Furoshiki is a cloth used to wrap and carry things. People already used Furoshiki in Japan during the Nara period (710-794). Furoshiki is a packing material that reduces waste plastics and paper. You can join the sustainable action in Japan. When you return your rental clothing, you do not need to return the Furoshiki to us. You can wrap your souvenirs from your trip to Japan in the Furoshiki and return home.

Patagonia

By using our rental service, you can contribute to limiting climate change. All the clothing used in our rentals is U.S. outdoor brand Patagonia. Patagonia donates 1% of its sales to the "1% for the Planet" corporate alliance to tackle our planet's most pressing environmental issues.
